I am very grateful to him for the opportunity of reproducing them here.

The team of Terry Revill and Mark Newby bought the ex-Dennis Priddle Page brothers Chevy Monza funny car from Bob Jarrett.  The picture on the left shows Terry Revill in the smart Duckhams jacket (Duckhams were Terry's sponsors of his Assassin bikes) with Gary Page (Terry's brother-in-law) leaning over wearing the Showtime funny car cap.
The Monza was used as a stepping stone to capture a sponsor before moving on to something rather more up to date in the form of . . .

. . . this Chevy Beretta funny car which featured a state of the art Plueger chassis and Waterman Red Pump fuel system.  You can see the original artwork for the paint scheme by Mark Gredzinski by clicking here and with the alternative scheme by clicking here.
These pictures must have been taken after Mark Newby withdrew from the team because the car has Terry Revill's name on the bonnet but the driver was Gary Page.  Interestingly there was a third driver who helped the team get over their numerous engine explosions and to find a tune up that worked - that man was Steve Read who is currently (2007) racing Top Fuel cars in Australia.
Kelvin thinks that they were taking pictures of people sitting in the car for a fee which was then donated to charity.
I am indebted to Philip Leamon for the majority of the information on these pictures.  Philip was involved with the team from the beginning both as crew and also sinking some hard-earned cash in to the project.
Spookily, the bike pictured under the Kopex car on Mark Gredzinski's page 2 is currently owned by Philip who has campaigned it for the last seven years with a fair amount of success in ACU Competition Bike.

Santa Pod organised a fancy dress competition for pit crew which was won by the gent in the stockings and suspenders who crewed for Dick Talbot.  Apparently he liked it so much he kept it on when they all went down to the pub later.  If anyone would like to own up to being in the picture on the left I will happily publish their names.

As soon as I saw these pictures I knew where they had been taken - at the top end at Snetterton.  The reason being I had sneaked up there myself on one occasion and tried to get some high speed shots, needless to say they weren't a patch on these.
These shots must have been taken at one of the 'Santa Pod on Tour' meetings because the SLDO-sponsored Houndog 9 funny car (top two pictures) only ever ran at the Pod.
On the left is the late Graham Hawes' Black Magic Pro Comp funny car, and on the right is Gerry Andrews driving the Stones' Hemi Hunter II Pro Comp rail.
The late Jim Read is pictured below in his Le Patron Pro Comp dragster.

These two pictures were taken at Avon Park (now Shakespeare County Raceway) and show Eamon Hurley on his unique Wankel rotary-engined Concorde Top Fuel bike.  The picture on the left has already been published in black and white form on page 3 but it is just too good not to include it again.

Kev Jenkins driving Bob Nixon's Anglia at Avon Park.

USAF serviceman Terry Bell's American Dream is almost certainly the only drag bike ever to have been sponsored by Tonibell Ice Cream!

Kelvin recalls "The guy in the foreground was the owner of Moon City Charger at the time of the photo,  a USAF serviceman, and a friend of fellow countryman Terry Bell.  His name was Casper, but I dont remember his surname.  The car never got used much in anger as I recall.  This particular meeting at Snetterton was called off because of rain.  You can see the puddle.  The RAF station nearby forecast more rain, so NDRC called a rain-off, then the sun came out for rest of day, the racing could have gone ahead!"

Left - Liquidator ran in Senior Competition Altered and is pictured burning out at Avon Park.
Right - at the top end this time at Snetterton.  Incredibly, Steve Young thinks he can ID the dragster in the far lane as Steve Johnson's Motor Mouse!
Any other theories?

And finally - a young Kelvin Fagan riding what must have been the slowest two-wheeled vehicle at Snetterton by a considerable margin!
