The name of veteran drag racing photo-journalist Roger Gorringe will be known to most readers.  Roger makes frequent trips to the USA taking in as many of the major meetings as he can.  It is filthy work standing trackside with endless Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars thundering past you but someone has to do it.  Fortunately Roger has very kindly offered to share his experiences with us in his illustrated meeting reports.

Both the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the AAPEX Show at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas during early November were buzzing with attendees and a seven percent increase in credentialed footfall was declared providing an announcement of a definite movement into growth.  Almost 2,400 exhibiting companies were at SEMA alone with many more at the Sands.
At the SEMA Show the Ford Mustang was pronounced the Hottest Car, the Scion FR-S the Hottest Sports Compact, the Ford F Series the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler the Hottest 4x4 SUV.
Dragsters, trucks, rods, vans, new models, vintage versions, gorgeous girls, rat rods, monster trucks, land speed vehicles all were in attendance at both shows on many stands and booths attracting interest from all over the world.
