INTRODUCTION

Lawrie Gatehouse's love for drag racing has been amply chronicled both within the pages of The Acceleration Archive and elsewhere.  His contribution to the sport was massive and was rightly recognised by his induction in to the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 2017.  He was a photo-journalist, a team owner and the leading light behind the Nostalgia Fuel Altered Association which flourished under his stewardship.

Sadly Lawrie passed away in 2020 and drag racing lost one of its greatest supporters.

Some years ago Lawrie kindly allowed me to scan his collection of slides and other material and there are nine pages of his work in The Lawrie Gatehouse Collection together with no less than 43 articles and photographs published literally all over the world.  As he hatched his plans for the creation of the NFAA he decided that he should be an active participant and indulge his love of fuel altereds in the most meaningful way possible.  Enter Team Chaos in which I played a small part by creating a website for him to document and record the team's progress.

The car made its first appearance in 2006 at the Easter Thunderball at Santa Pod and its last outing was the MSA National Finals held at the Pod in September 2015.

The website was taken down shortly after that and has resided on my computer until now.  I have decided that it should be included within the Archive as a 'site within a site' as an ongoing tribute to Lawrie.

RIP Lawrie and thanks for everything.
