This page contains all my previously
unpublished pictures of Dutch bikes. The Dutch were quite a force in European
drag bike racing back in the 1970s and '80s as the number of pictures on this
page testifies. |

I had originally thought this bike was Rob Janssen's double Norton (see pictures below). However Ton's eagle-eyed daughter Monique correctly identified it as Ton's double Puma Triumph and explained that Ton and Rob used to race in the same team. |

This is one of the last pictures I took way back when and I guess this is 1985 or 1986. Ton was still using double Puma Triumph power then. |

Jos Smit didn't believe in travelling light, he usually turned up with a Pro Street bike as well as a competition machine. He certainly liked to get as much track time in as possible. The picture on the left was probably taken the season before the two below. It looks like he was pretty busy over the winter. |

This is Rob Janssen and his double Benelli powered comp bike - I told you about the variety of engines! |

Rob
then moved on to the Street or Pro Street bike (left), |
Our Rob was a bit of a lad for exotic bodywork on his bikes wasn't he? |
These are two incarnations of Jan Jansen's injected 4 cylinder competition bike. |

Two shots of Cees van Dongen's 500cc
Honda. I am obliged to Jolanda Liebeek for identifying the rider in these shots. She should know - her late father was Cee's mechanic! |
Age de Vries' smart Pro Street motorcycle seen in the pits at Santa Pod. |
There seems to be a lot of engine in this bike - that's because Anton de Vos squeezed a couple of Kwakas in there. |
The remaining pictures on this page are of
the most prolific drag bike rider of his period - the late Henk Vink. |
